The Hive Must Grow!!!
A really wonderful cozy game! Dive into the word of bees and help them build an entire empire. You can send off worker bees, who collect ressources to grow your city. Of course the queen can't be missed, she's keeping the city running if you're not around ;) But careful what you feed the queen.
Buildings
This list is an overview of all buildings that you can build in the game and what effect they have. Whenever you place an item, you get 10 xp. Please note that you need to pay different the resources to build any building and that you can only place a building if have enough space on the area you click (means you can not place a building if there is already another building or a tree).
- Hive: Gives you an additinal bee.
- Well: Bees can rest here. If they fly over a well, they collect one honey.
- Picnic blanket: If a bee collects an item, it is not automatically added to your inventory. Instead a bee must drop resources on the picnic blanket to add them to your inventory. The items dropped of automatically.
- Market: If you have more than 25 honey in your inventory, the market will start to trade honey for stone or wood.
- Clock: Gives you periodically one xp over time.
- Box: If placed, you get instantly 15 xp.
- Queen: If placed, you get instantly 40 xp.
Controls
- Generel:
- ← Move left
- → Move right
- ↑ Move up
- ↓ Move down
- X or C: Change mode
- ← Move left
- In Control Mode:
- Left mouse click: Select bee or deselect bee if on no bee was clicked
- Right mouse click: Move bee to position,. If also V: is pressed, then the bee will instead move to this position after it has moved to all other positions.
- In Build Mode:
- V: Change the building that you want to place. If you press this button multiple times, it will cycle throught all 7 possible buildings.
- Left mouse click: Place building.
- Right mouse click: Destroy building.

I really need more explanation. I can't understand the game at all. And as far as other comments go: I am not alone
im not sure if im doing something wrong but i cant advance past the "press any key to start' scree
Pico-8 is a virtual console. Therefore it only support keys that also exist on your old controller, which are X,Y and the arrow keys. If you press a WASD or number key, nothing will happen because it can not detect these keys on the laptop.
Very confusing...
